Okay so I was messing around on SayNow (I love that service, I do I do) and there was a guy named Loren who was on live. He looked kinda cute, and he had one of those pictures of him with a microphone. So I listened to his broadcast, couldn't figure out what band he's in, and decided to call him anyway.

Turns out the band he WAS in broke up, and what he does now is...design work for SayNow. Which, no offense to band boiz, but that impresses me way more than him being in a band impressed me. He was super nice to me, added me, and then activated a bunch of new, special features for my saynow account! Now I can screen my calls, and call someone back if I'm listening to a message on my saynow. So flipping cool!

Anyway, yeah, cool day. Plus, from Loren's picture, he's TOTALLY gorgeous. And he has a hot voice, too.

Okay so I've been using SayNow for a few months now...mostly to stalk band members. I've made a couple friends through random phone calls. I like SayNow, it lets me put phone updates on the internets and it also lets me call people. I'm also kind of addicted to getting messages on there. So here's the number, call if you want!

I haven't really posted on LJ since I moved to Korea...mostly because I've only been online in public PC houses. I won't have the internet in my room for another month or so =( which sucks, and at the same time is kind of cool. I'm able to spend a lot less time pointlessly surfing the 'net and a lot more time exploring and wandering around. When I do need to post, or e-mail people, there are 24 hour PC houses within spitting distance of my house.

I would say within walking distance, but seriously, EVERYTHING is within walking distance here. I walked further to get to classes at UCR than I walk to get from my apartment to the school...and they're going to move me, because they think the walk is too far. I walk right down the main strip on my way to work, which means there are a jillion clubs, restaurants, shops and other random things. I also walk right between a giant mall and a huge department store. This is all less than 5 minutes walking time from my apartment!

I'm trying to get some pictures and videos uploaded, but it's taking forever. I can't post things on youtube, so I'm having to do it all via photobucket...which means I have to make ANOTHER new photobucket album. Euugh. Oh well, whatever works, right?

I'm really, really happy here. Happier than I even thought I'd be. My sleep schedule is all wonky, I wound up waking up at 4 am and feeling way too alert to go back to bed. Other than that though, I feel fantastic. I wish I was starting work sooner...what a weird thing to wish, right? I just feel like I'm wasting time here, and if I was at work, I'd be more productive. I've never really been a 'vacation' person, I don't think. To be more precise, I don't like unstructured free time.

Oh, and for anyone wondering, the madness has already set in. After a long day of trying desperately to communicate with people around me, when I got home last night, I wound up talking to my Patrick Stump plush doll for almost an hour.

Yeeeaaah.

At least he talks back. Admittedly, he only says 5 phrases, and only when I push his belly. But still.

Also, I made friends with a little orange cat yesterday. I shared my chicken with her.
